About Highmoor Bloodhounds
Established in 2012, Highmoor Bloodhounds are Yorkshire’s premier pack of Bloodhounds and are registered with the Masters of Draghounds and Bloodhounds Association. They promote and pursue the sport of hunting a human quarry with a pack of bloodhounds bred and trained for this purpose.
Hunting with bloodhounds is a long-established sport and is very different to other traditional hunting sports.
The bloodhounds are trained to hunt only the ‘clean boot’. That is, they hunt a human runner with no artificial or animal scent.

Having initially attended an event in early 2015 with a photographic contact, Phil attended a few meets later that year to assist a family member attending meets and taking photos for friends and family.
With more outings, came more requests for photos and throughout 2016, Phil became more and more involved with the team and hounds.
Covering the meets and events as an independent part of the Highmoor ground-crew, Phil has been working alongside the pack travelling all over East and North Yorkshire and latterly with the Highmoor Bloodhounds North team into Teesside and beyond.
